Indoor lacrosse All-Star game

The National Lacrosse League staged it's annual All-Star game in Buffalo on February 25th. The East roared to a 9-2 lead only to have the West chip away at the score. The game was tied 15-15 after 3 quarters, but then the East had a hard time scoring and the West won 20-18. Bandits all-time great John Tavares had two goals as he was the East's captian. In all, it was a pretty entertaining game. Here are some pics I took at the game...

 

Niagara vs Canisius hockey

Since Niagara University joined the same college conference that Canisius is in, the two have played back-to-back games each season. Last year, the two teams split and Canisius beat the Purple Eagles in the playoffs.

On Valentine's Day this year, Niagara visited Canisius at Buffalo State (where the Golden Griffins play their hockey) and Niagara won 4-1. Here's some pics I took of the game...

Ron Paul visits Buffalo

Last summer, in the early part of Ron Paul's campaign for the Republican nomination for President, he came to East Aurora, just south of Buffalo, to have a rally. I took off early from work to go see Mr. Paul. He gave a great speech and has a lot of supporters across the country.

 

Squirrels

In the summer, the squirrels take over my yard. From digging holes in my garden (and taking flowers with the big dig) to scampering across the fence. The pics below I took a few years ago and this squirrel was pretty brave.

Canisius Hockey

I have been to quite a few Canisius Golden Griffin hockey games the past two years. On January 15 of this year, they hosted UConn. However, they lost 4-3. Canisius had taken a 3-2 lead at the beginning of the third, only to lose it when a local kid from Williamsville, Cole Schneider, got a couple goals late in the game. Fireworks over Niagara

There was a huge fireworks display on both sides of the border at Niagara Falls on New Year's Eve. Below are some more of the fireworks over Niagara Falls, along with some night pictures of the American Falls itself and the view of Niagara Falls, Ontario. The first picture is the concert at Queen Victoria Park which featured the group Our Lady Peace, before an estimated 40,000 fans.
