Junior Sabres hockey

Decided to go to a Junior Sabres game as they were playing the Hamilton Red Wings. It was a pretty fast-paced game with plenty of scoring and hits. There were even a couple fights, one especially a hot one as a Sabre started mixing it up with the Hamilton goalie. There was a huge brawl on the ice, and it spilled over on the benches as the coaches had a lot of words for each other.

It's a great time and the price is much more reasonable than the NHL Sabres. Check it out sometime...

Sabres training camp

Went to the Northtown Center to see the Sabres practice Sunday morning. The players were really hustling and hitting hard. Never have seen this much hitting in a practice! The boys must be determined to put up after Terry Pegula has put up so much for them.

Here's some pics I took...

Lindy Ruff had a long discussion with Thomas Vanek after one of the practice sessions. Their talk lasted at least 20 minutes.

Sabres vs Flyers

Danny Briere (#48), now on the Flyers, is still a local favorite.

The Sabres and Flyers are very familiar opponents in the playoffs.
